REV GROUP PARTNERS WITH SIDDONS-MARTIN TO OFFER STATE EXCLUSIVE
American author John Steinbeck once said, “Texas is not a state. It’s a state of mind,” so in a place where everything is bigger and tougher, REV Group is bringing its top ambulance game. Partnering with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, one of the nation’s largest emergency dealerships, REV Group has created the Texan Edition Ambulance — an ambulance for Texans, sold by Texans.
REV Group will introduce the Texan Edition Wheeled Coach and Road Rescue Type I model at the TEEX Fire and Emergency Services Training Show on July 23 at Texas A&M University’s Reed Arena. Because “everything’s bigger in Texas,” this edition is built with more workable space, featuring 72 inches of head room and a whoppin’ 45 inches of aisle space, giving paramedics more room to work. The unit also features an extended action area, all-aluminum, non-porous interiors with LED lighting and enlarged interior/exterior sweep-out compartments. For a tough exterior, the Texan Edition includes standard diamond-plate running boards.
The Texan Edition is also built for Texan conditions, including the hottest summer days and the roughest rural terrain.
Let’s start with that Texan heat. This state-exclusive ambulance package features REV Group’s patented Cool-Bar™ technology, a 110-12V A/C system that is externally mounted to the front of the ambulance body for max efficiency. This edition inclusion features four condenser fans (two more than the industry standard) and a 60,000-BTU capacity that’s 30% greater than most systems. And unlike other Texas ambulances, the Cool-Bar doesn’t have to rely on a generator to power the cooling features thanks to 800 sq. in. of condensing coils.
For Texas’ rural terrain, the Texan Edition delivers LiquidSpring’s Compressible Liquid Adaptive Suspension System. The edition’s CLASS inclusion utilizes a strut, compressible fluid and a sophisticated on-board microprocessor to adapt the entire vehicle’s response to road variations for a smooth ride for both patient and crew. Unlike current steel and air-spring suspension systems, CLASS is the only system that automatically changes the spring stiffness and damping of each wheel with minimal power consumption while the vehicle is being driven (and without driver intervention).
REV Group is proud to offer this ambulance through Siddons-Martin Emergency Group. One of the largest dealerships in the United States, Siddons-Martin has delivered more than 7,000 units in 44 years. This trusted dealership has 15 sales representatives dedicated to their own Texan sales regions, and with 10 Texas service centers with 250 technicians (60 of them ASE/EVT certified) and 40 mobile service units (available 24/7), no other dealer is committed to responding to Texas ambulance service needs like Siddons-Martin.
