Construction is slowly starting to wane at REV Recreation Group’s Indiana manufacturing location as the final touches of a $6 million renovation project are wrapping up at the transformed 180-acre campus. REV will celebrate the completion of its most recent makeover, the state-of-the-art renovation of the REV Visitor Center, with an Oct. 14, 2016 ribbon cutting ceremony.

REV Group President and CEO Tim Sullivan will join Decatur Mayor Ken Meyer and the city council to kick off the ribbon cutting celebrations, and REV RV President Jim Jacobs will discuss the division’s continued commitment to RV customers. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, followed by self-guided tours.

The Visitor Center, located at 1420 Patterson in Decatur, is home to REV’s 84,800 sq. ft. East Coast Regional Technical Center, featuring 35 service bays and three paint booths, solely dedicated to servicing owners of American Coach, Monaco Coach, Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood RV. RVIA certified technicians, many with more than 20 years of experience and factory assembly backgrounds, staff this technical center. ASE certified diesel chassis technicians are also available to perform chassis and generator service.

The Decatur campus also features a parts center for expedited delivery of REV genuine aftermarket parts. Customers are encouraged to schedule service through the Regional Technical Centers page on the appropriate brand website.

Meanwhile, the renovated Visitor Center welcomes guests and owners with a new two-story addition, open-model atrium and loft-style lounge. RV owners can also gather with friends on the entertainment patio, which features a large gas fire pit. A laundry facility and 49 paved campsites, complimentary to guests, add to the customer experience.

“We want our customers to receive the best experience when they’re on the road, so customer service is a top priority at REV Recreation Group, and we’re especially pleased to be opening this customer center,” said Steve Heim, REV RV Vice President, who heads up parts and service. “This center is going to help us provide the comfort and amenities our customers deserve during the aftermarket service experience.”

The renovation caps off a year of massive renovations and strategic expansions that not only double REV’s manufacturing footprint in Decatur but broaden REV’s national reach. Among the 2016 changes, REV RV:

  • Acquired two more regional service center locations — a southern facility in Alvarado, Texas, featuring a 12-bay, 35,000-square-foot facility, and a southwest location in Mesquite, Nev., where REV is exploring plans to build a new facility.
  • Re-opened Decatur Plant 3 to the tune of 137,000 sq. ft. for the exclusive production of American Coach and Monaco Coach.
  • Acquired a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Decatur to help meet demand. (The refurbished Plant 5 building now houses the production of Holiday Rambler Admiral and Fleetwood RV Flair.)
  • Scheduled the move of Class C production to Elkhart, Ind., taking the place of sister brand Goshen Coach, which is moving its manufacturing operations to Salina, Kan., and Imlay City, Mich., in late fall. The facility is 161,000 sq. ft.
