Under this one name, you’ll find 23 specialty vehicles brands that combine for more than 300,000 vehicles on the roads today. We want to take a moment to tell you about our new name because it holds a lot of meaning for us.
Some might know us as Allied Specialty Vehicles, our former name — ASV for short. However, REV is not an acronym, like our old moniker. REV is a statement that drives home our company’s commitment (and momentum) to connect and protect communities through our products. In short, we strive to build “vehicles for life.”
From commercial to recreational, from bus to fire and emergency, it’s our goal to become No. 1 in every market we serve. We’re proud to manufacturer some of the nation’s top buses, sweepers, ambulances, fire apparatuses, mobility equipment, terminal trucks and recreational vehicles. And regardless of industry, we plan to deliver on our goal with a speed and passion that only a revved-up corporation experiences when focused on the road ahead.
But none of this is possible without our 23 brands. In fact, we like to think of our company as a family — not a group. Like a family, we’re constantly proud of each other’s achievements, especially when one of our product brands makes a difference. These stories fuel our passion for quality products. We’re also proud of our family history backing the REV name. Our oldest brands have crested the 60-year mark, and even our youngest have 20 years under their belts. And each brand continues to look for the innovations ahead.
REV Group itself is an industry-leading company, generating $2 billion in annual revenue. REV’s subsidiary brands will stay unchanged underneath this corporate umbrella, producing almost 20,000 specialty vehicles per year. With our new name driving us, we’re continuing to expand (and accelerate) into the international market, including Europe, Africa, China, Southeast Asia, South America and the Middle East.
